The Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe is my favorite store in all of Disney World. This quaint little shop, tucked in to the Liberty Square village at Magic Kingdom, brings the Holiday Spirit to Walt Disney World all year long.
I admit I am a bit obsessed with Christmas. I love when Christmas displays go up in the fall each year, and I start listening to Christmas Carols as early as the week before Thanksgiving. The Christmas lights at my house stay up well into the end of January, and I always shed a tear when I take down the tree. However, even if you aren’t as big a fan of the holiday as I am, I challenge you to spend some time in The Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe without feeling the warm wave of the Holiday Spirit fill in all around you, reminding you of some of your favorite Christmas memories. Though I’m a New England girl who equates Christmas with cold and snow, I feel the holiday spirit immediately when I walk in the door, even if I’m wearing shorts and flip flops.
The decorations and gifts you find at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe are just as special as the experience browsing through the beautifully decorated store. The store has anything you could ever want to decorate your home for Christmas, so that even when you can’t travel to the park for the holidays, you can keep the Disney Magic of Christmas with you. My husband and I bought our special Victorian Mickey and Minnie Christmas Carolers ornament there during our Disney Honeymoon and we have plans to continue picking a special ornament every time we return to Magic Kingdom together. It is the perfect place to find Engagement, Wedding, Baby’s First Christmas, and other ornaments that celebrate life’s special moments.
There are also toys available for the Disney fans on your gift giving list and ornaments and toys can be personalized to add an extra special touch of Disney Magic.
Near the holiday season, you can find Christmas themed items in most every Disney Store, but at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, the season is alive 365 days of the year. It is a not-to-be-missed shopping experience. Make sure you stop by no matter when you find yourself in Liberty Square.
