I’m lucky. I get to not only visit my favorite places on Earth, but I also get to write about them and help you navigate your way around Disney Parks. From my first visit to Walt Disney World in 1980 to my most recent visit this summer, I am hooked every time. There is no other experience I have found like the Disney experience. I truly feel that I do “..leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy.”. Thank you Walt.
I’ve “only” been to Walt Disney World (WDW) six times, but Disneyland more times than I can count, so most of my tips and articles are about Disneyland. But WDW holds a special place for me too since it was my first, and I bought my children for their first visit to WDW in March 2018. Two of my favorite WDW articles are “Where are the Churros??” and Other Things a Disneyland Family Says at Walt Disney World and I Will Run for Beignets at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort.
I am also lucky because the love of Disney runs deep in my family. My parents love Disney as much as I do, and even went on a trip for their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2018! My two children, but especially my daughter, also love it, and one of my best memories is a Mommy-Daughter only trip we took in February 2016. The love also goes into my extended family into uncles, aunts and cousins. We have meet more than once with extended family that live thousands of miles away, and we share that love of Disney.
I’ve been blessed too to check Disney bucket list items offs, such as visiting on July 15th, 2015 for the 60th Anniversary celebration, winning a Sweepstakes to visit Carsland before the public in June 2012, and attending opening day of Star Wars – Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland in July 2019!
My best Disneyland trip tips for you are to download and use the Disneyland App and to determine if MaxPass is right to buy for your vacation. These two are time saving tips, and you are going to want to spend as much time as you can enjoying the Disneyland experience!
I have been to Disneyland in so many ways – from a child myself, as a teenager on school trips, as a newly wedded couple, while pregnant, with little babies (my daughter’s first trip was when she was 8 months old!), on multi-generational trips, and now taking my own teenagers along. I’ve experienced just about everything in my nearly 40 years of Disney travel, so if you every need a tip about any kind of trip or experience you want at Disneyland, please let me know!
