Hello! I’m Pink Diva and I’ve been lucky enough to be a writer here for the past five years. I’ve loved Disney for as long as I can remember. My parents took me and my sister on our first trip when I was five and I still remember how magical it felt. As a family we were lucky to go every few years and even did a Disney Cruise one year. My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Disney World. (We came between hurricanes Charlie and Tropical Storm Frances-it was crazy!) Currently, we are stationed at an Air Force Base in Central Florida. We never know how long we will be in one place, but we are making our Annual Passes worth it while we are here.
My absolute favorite ride is It’s a Small World. During my very first trip we were able to ride it several times in a row due to low crowds and since then it’s been my favorite. I suffer from motion sickness, but absolutely LOVE roller coasters. As long as it’s a real track and not a simulator, I’ll do it over and over. The Haunted Mansion is one of my least favorite rides. I was so scared of it when I was little. I would close my eyes the whole time. I never actually saw the whole ride until I was in college and went with friends. I don’t close my eyes anymore, but it’s still not one I frequent.
My family loves Disney. My two kids have spent most of their childhoods going to the parks. It’s been fun watching the magic through their eyes. Every stage brings new favorites. My daughter has always loved the characters. She loves to get their autographs. We like to spend the day together seeing how many autographs we can get. We made this Easy Autograph Book and Photo Frame for her room after getting all the princesses signatures. My son is more into the attractions. Early on it was Dumbo and he would cry when the ride was over. Now, he’s a little thrill-seeker and wants to do the big roller coasters. My husband and I like to do as much as we can when we get the chance to go without the kids.
Being able to go to Disney on a regular basis has been a blessing for us. It’s always fun to spend the time together as a family. We also love when friends are in town and we can meet them to watch the parade or share a meal. Getting to experience the Disney magic over and over is something I never get tired of.
