Ahoy me hearties, I’m JollyFrogger Diva. My parents raised me to be a Disney fan from early on and I’ve been visiting Walt Disney World as often as possible since age 9. I have only visited Walt Disney World once without having my entire family with me as it’s our favorite family destination. I live in Tennessee with my husband and 2 daughters who are all Disney addicts too. Our family loves all things pirate and mermaid (we even have our home office decorated in a Pirates of the Caribbean theme) but we love most Disney animated movies too (both of my daughters have Lion King/Lion Guard themed rooms). My husband and oldest daughter are big into Star Wars, the little one and I are learning but aren’t well versed in that fandom yet. My youngest daughter hasn’t visited Walt Disney World yet so I’m very excited to be planning her first trip this coming Fall, even though it will be a bittersweet experience since it will be the first trip our family makes without my parents.
My favorite piece of Disney park advice is to screen shot your dining and FastPass+ reservations for each day of your trip and set that as your phone’s screensaver That way you can see your schedule with just the push of a button without draining your battery, and you have access to it even if Disney’s WiFi or My Disney Experience systems go down. I also recommend making at least 1 paper copy of your schedule with all reservations and confirmation numbers on it because paper is more reliable than technology.
My favorite article I have written is Add a Little Disney to Your Halloween because I love Halloween and my family always has fun trying to come up with new ideas for a family theme. We’re already hard at work finishing our family costume for our visit to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) this year. I also really love my articles about Disney’s Flag Retreat and tea at The Garden View Tea Room because they remind me of my Papaw and my Mom, who I miss very much.
So now you know a little more about me. I’ve been writing for Tips from the Disney Diva for 4 years and I can’t think of a better group of guys and gals to share my love and knowledge of Disney with!
