While we all love showing off our Disney side, I know there are many of you who are fans of Marvel and DC Comics, Star Wars, and other franchises that were originally not associated with Disney. Wizard World Comic Con 2016 is bringing out some great talent including Hayley Atwell, Billy Boyd, William Shatner, Dean Cain, Reggie Jackson, and many other wonderful actors, artists, and athletes. If you’re looking for star power, the best day to get the most variety seems to be Saturday, June 18th. But depending on who is your favorite celebrity, you can check out the schedule to see what dates they’re appearing here.
Another highlight of the event is taking place on Sunday, June 19th. Like many other Comic Con and similar events, one of the highlights of attending is seeing all of the creative cosplay designs people come up with or the ability to show off your creativity. From the very elaborate and over the top designs to those showcasing the most minute details of your favorite characters with stunning accuracy, they are certainly not to be missed! While people will be portraying their character of choice all weekend long, there is a special costume contest for the kiddos on June 19th, which happens to not only be Father’s Day, but at Wizard World Comic Con, it’s Kids’ Day. So for all of you dads out there (or wives looking for a fun Father’s Day experience for your family), what better way to celebrate being a dad, than hanging out with your family?
Disney Diva: While I obviously have no control over who gets selected for best costumes, I think it’s a pretty fair bet to say you may stand a better chance of winning (or at least getting noticed) if your entire family is dressed up… even better if you’re all doing the same theme… can’t you just see Dad being Gandalf with your kids running around as little hobbits? Sounds like a fun way to celebrate to me… and a great way to make extra memories as a family.
