If you want to tour the parks like the celebrities do, then look no further than a VIP tour guide at Walt Disney World. There are different types of tours that Disney offers, but the VIP Tour is the highest level of service that Walt Disney World has to offer.
You can make reservations for a tour guide by calling Guest Services at 407-560-4033. You can have up to 10 people with one guide and a minimum of a 4 hour tour. Once you’ve set up your tour, they will let you know your guide’s name and what time they will pick you up at your Walt Disney World resort!
Recently, we spent a day in Magic Kingdom with a tour guide. Our guide, Aaron, picked us up from our resort at the time of our choice, and whisked us away to the park. We pulled into a back entrance of the park right in time for park opening. A few cast members scanned our Magic Bands and then headed through a secret entrance into Tomorrowland. With a VIP tour guide, you get entrance into the FastPass line at every attraction. Within the first few minutes of being in MK, we had covered everything in Tomorrowland (some things we did multiple times) and headed over to Fantasyland.
Your tour guide can plan your day specifically to your schedule. Whether you want to be in the park from open to close, or just a few hours, your guide can plan a magical day. Want to ride Peter Pan multiple times? You can do that. Want to meet your favorite character? If they are in the parks that day, your tour guide will get you there. Tour guides can also help with making dinner reservations if you don’t already have them. With a tour guide you can sit in the FastPass seating for Festival of Fantasy and Wishes. In one day (from about 9-10), our group covered everything we had wanted to do, and some things we did multiple times and enjoyed dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern.
Tour guides have knowledge of all things Disney, so ask any question and there’s a good chance they’ll know. If you want to spend the whole day wandering around Magic Kingdom learning about different attractions, they can do that. Tour guides stay with you through the ride queues and can ride on all rides ( the only exception being Kali River Rapids). We have great pictures with our tour guide from Space Mountain. Consider inviting your guide to dinner with you if you have reservations. We did, and it was a great opportunity to hear fun stories and get to know our guide even more.
Now I’m sure you’re wondering about the cost. You are charged depending on how many hours you spend with the Tour Guide, not by how many people are in the group. There is a maximum of ten people per one tour guide. Anything over ten people and you’ll need two tour guides. Cost for a VIP tour guide is $400-$600 per hour, depending on the season. Also, paying for a tour guide is NOT your admission to the parks. You must already have your tickets.
Tour guides are great for first-timers at Disney, and for the seasoned guests. With a tour guide. you don’t have to make Fastpass+ reservations, plan a perfect schedule, or even worry about transportation. You can ride every ride twice, or just walk through every area, taking time to learn the history. Your guide can give the best tips to becoming a Galactic Hero (trust me, I achieved it for the first time on this trip). So if you’re looking for a way to tour the parks like a celebrity, consider a VIP tour guide. You’ll definitely have a magical day!
