My favorite mornings are spent waking up at Walt Disney World. So magical! Unfortunately, this is not a daily occurrence, so we look for other ways to squeeze in magical mornings a little closer to home. We like to drive to our nearest Disney Store to start our day in a magical way!
Each Disney Store offers a magical opening every morning. The first customers in line are chosen to participate. We made sure to arrive at our Disney Store early to ensure we were first there. Fortunately, ours is in an outlet mall and though there are early morning shoppers, the area is not too congested. We only arrived about 10 minutes early to our location, and we had no trouble being first at the door. Some locations receive more traffic than others, so if your nearest store is in a popular area, arrive even earlier!

There are some variations on the way each store celebrates its daily opening. At our Disney Store, the cast members (Disney Store employees) bring out a magical book featuring Sorcerer Mickey and the words Let the Magic Begin. They asked my son to wave his hands and say loudly, “Let the magic begin!”
He did this but book did not light up, so they then dressed him in the red robe and sorcerer’s hat like Sorcerer Mickey. So cute! Once dressed and ready to go, they had everyone standing outside say the words together, led by my son. The book then sparkled with lights and sound- signifying the official opening of the Disney Store for that day.

I love that even at the stores, mornings are magical! These special openings provide a sense of celebration and magic, much like the parks do on an much larger level. My son received a lanyard as a gift for opening the store. I have seen others receive small keys, etc. Additionally, I have seen posts of store openings involving magical keys rather then the sorcerer hat/robe and book. So be prepared for slight variations of openings based on each individual store.
