When you are a blessed parent like myself, you may want to take your children to Disney World and enjoy those magical moments with them before they are all grown up. Here are some tips that I have to help you plan your trip.
I have two awesome kids: a 12 year old son and a 9 year old daughter. I am a dad and me having a daughter, well, presents some challenges that may come up when visiting Disney World. These challenges can be overcome with ease.
When planning your vacation, allow yourself plenty of time like it was explained on the Disney Diva website, to plan. I have planned trips as early as two years before to get the excitement going. I have just returned from a fantastic trip for Halloween with the kids and we are planning our 2014 trip! There are so many things to research: where to stay , parks hours , rides , attractions , shows , and events, standard or character dining , best time to go , the busiest time of the year and slower times of the year, the more affordable times of the year to travel , and what resort best fits you and your child (or children’s) needs.
One of the biggest challenges single parents may find, is if your child or children are of the opposite gender and restrooms. Have no fear , there are areas that have family (companion) restrooms. There are also locations that do not get busy at all where you can take your child in with you to the men’s or women’s room to keep an eye on your child. With the many people moving about, you want to make sure your child is safe from getting lost and /or from abductors. Companion restrooms are located at each park at the following locations:
