We try to spend part of one day from each trip exploring Downtown Disney. We use either our first or last day there instead of using a ticket for a half day in the park. While we have made reservations for a sit down dinner in Downtown Disney and waited for an hour for T-Rex and Rainforest, it is rare that we do this. We would much rather grab something quick and get on with the shopping. One place that we like to grab a quick bit is at Pollo Campero and Bodie’s All American (located next door to the Lego store). Here you can find something to suit anyone’s taste!
There are two main lines to choose from when you enter. The Pollo Campero side where you can find grilled chicken, fried chicken, or chicken strips. These are all served with yummy Latin inspired sides like yucca fries, plantains, or black beans and rice. In the next line, you can choose from hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, and wraps. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad wrap (it was sort of healthy…it has the word salad in it) and it was DELICIOUS! Middle Disney brother said his burger was one of the best he has ever had!
After grabbing your food, you make your way to the cafeteria style check out. These lines tend to be long, so we found that if you grab a beer, a glass of sangria, or smoothie to drink from the drink counter (instead of a shake or fountain drink) you can pay for your meal there! We didn’t have to wait at all!
Prices range from $5.99 for a kid’s meal to $28.99 for a feast for four. If you are working up an appetite with shopping at Downtown Disney, I recommend stopping for a quick bite at Pollo Campero!
