If you are anything like me, you are always looking for a reason to show off your Disney side. I have more books, DVDs, and collectibles than I know what to do with, but my favorite way to show off my Disney side, is with my kids. And while we love going to Disneyland, that isn’t always possible, so we settle for the next best side and show it off at home!
We love doing Disney crafts and having Disney parties! And because my kids love Toy Story, especially my four year old, I was super excited to see that Pampered Chef had partnered with Disney and released a new Toy Story 4 line. My Toy Story loving four year old also happens to be my little sous chef in the kitchen, so from the moment I discovered that the set existed, I knew I had to buy two!
And because I love a good deal and feel like if it’s possible to get something cheaper (or better yet, free), I reached out to a friend of mine who is a Pampered Chef consultant. Long story short, I hosted a party, earned a TON of rewards, and got a TON of freebies, including two Toy Story 4 sets.
Technically, the Toy Story 4 sets are supposed to be pancake molds, but when I saw them, I decided to take them a step further and also use them for brownies and cookies too. Now because they aren’t traditional cookie cutters, you may need to do some extra trimming, but overall, I was very pleased with the outcome, and my kids loved them. Disney Diva Tip: Because they are meant for pancakes, they will obviously make giant sized cookies and brownies. Personally I am all for a larger portion of extra yumminess, but if you have littles, you definitely may want to cut them afterwards and have them share so they get a smaller, more kid-friendly portion.
The Toy Story 4 set also comes with stencils, which help give your pancakes or other baking treats actual features as opposed to just looking like a blob or silhouette. I actually found the stencils kind of tricky at first, but found that if I pushed the powdered sugar through the stencil and onto the pancake (or whatever you’re decorating) it came out more evenly.
My favorite parts of the Toy Story 4 line are the Hamm and Forky spatulas (which Pampered Chef refers to as a flipper and a scraper). They are super sturdy and definitely get the job done, plus they’re really cute! Disney Diva Tip: If you want to make some Hamm stuff too, you can always trace the outline of the spatula to get his head, and then press powdered sugar or whatever you’re using through the holes to give him eyes, a nose, and other features.
One thing I really like about these tools is that with the exception of the Forky scraper, they can all go into the dishwasher! I don’t know about you, but my husband and I hate washing dishes by hand and avoid it whenever possible. There are very few “hand wash” items we own simply because we detest it so much. So the fact that I can toss almost all of it into the dishwasher and have it all clean with the push of a button is definitely appealing.
And for all of you foodies who are great around the kitchen or for those of you hoping to be the next Julia Child, here are some good facts to know about each of the gadgets available. The pancake molds are safe around heat up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Disney Diva Tip: The stencils are not heat-safe however, so make sure to keep them away from the stove while you are baking! The Hamm Flipper has a nylon head so you don’t have to worry about it scratching your cookware, and it is heat-safe up to 428 degrees Fahrenheit. The Forky scraper has a bamboo handle and is heat-safe up to 482 degrees Fahrenheit. All of the Toy Story products have a one year warranty on them.
