Author: Diva MommyLocated in the Norway pavilion at Epcot, this bakery is one of my absolute favorites at Walt Disney World, simply because anything you order here is delicious!!
The Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is most widely known for their “School Bread”, which is a donut like pasty with excellent vanilla custard inside. You MUST try it if you want to become a tried and true Disney addict! Other bakery items include: sweet pretzels, apple danish, fruit cups, chocolate mousse (also available in sugar free for diabetics and people watching their sugar intake), and cloudberry horns. Cloudberry Horns is a personal favorite of mine, as it is a flaky pastry filled with cream and tart cloudberries. Yes, it tastes as good as it sounds.
Don’t be fooled by the title, Bakeri, and think all you can find are pastries. They also serve sandwiches which include smoked salmon, roast beef and chicken salad. Their soups are YUMMY too. You can also find a peanut butter and jelly sandwich meal for kids which includes two side items.
For the “bigger kids” in your party, Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe also serves wine, beer, and viking coffee (which is flavored with Bailey’s Irish Cream).
They offer a shaded covered seating area outside under a grass-thatched roof to keep you cool.
The area does get busier about an hour before the time of Epcot’s Fireworks show Illuminations. If you want your “School Bread” before the show starts, be sure to get there early and enjoy!
