Fulton’s General Store at Port Orleans Riverside is our absolute favorite gift shop. It is one of the largest resort shops, and includes everything from refrigerated goods and snacks to apparel, toys, and cookware. The shop is open until 11 pm and is located directly next the the River Roost Lounge across from the main lobby. This is also where you can pick up purchased items from the park which have been sent back to the hotel. It is also where you purchase stamps, alcohol, toiletries, etc. There is a $10 and under section in the store, which we love, and there is an entire wall of pin trading merchandise within the store as well. As with every gift shop on Disney World property, you can make purchases with your magic band. However make sure you bring some identification for purchases of alcohol or tobacco (legal age to purchase tobacco in The United States is 18 and you must be 21 for alcohol consumption).
Snack Offerings
Fulton’s offers plenty of snacks! From boxed doughnuts and cookies, to chips, dips, and alcohol, you will definitely find something to please everyone in your group! They carry a nice selection of Minnie’s Bake Shop snacks, and sell Coca-Cola brand beverages. There are plenty of snack options for those of you using the dining plan, as well.
Merchandise
Make sure you have some time allotted to shop shop shop! As far as merchandise goes, you will find plenty here! A wall of souvenir photo frames, some mug offerings, and an entire section dedicated to Mickey’s Pantry brand cookware and cookbooks await you as you enter. Then, you progress to a ten dollar toy section, an elaborate pin trading area, photo books, resort merchandise, and sundries. Finally, you end up near the clothing and accessories, and an east entrance or exit that leads directly to the bus area. Toward the back of the merchandise area, you will find more costly gifts and souvenirs such as snow globes and monorail gift sets – this is also where the parcel pick up area is (at any of the parks, you may have merchandise transported free of charge to your resort).
Clothing and accessories
Many times we have needed this section! Hats – check! Mickey ears – check! Swimsuits, sundresses, and tee shirts? CHECK!
Fulton’s staff is exactly what you expect from Disney World. Many times we have needed assistance opening packages, carrying our purchases, or picking out sizes, and they are there to assist before you even know you need assistance! And as always, they are there to guarantee you have a Disney-worthy time on vacation. My two year old fell in love with a Finding Nemo pool ball in the store, and he loved it a little too hard! So much so that within minutes of having it in the pool for the first time, the ball ended up deflated with a hole. The staff at Fulton’s replaced the ball, no questions asked, without our receipt, as we ran in wallet-less from the pool area.
As already mentioned, make sure you allow ample time to explore this merchandise shop while staying at Port Orleans Riverside!
Does Fulton’s currently carry any Port Orleans-themed merchandise?
