Do it yourself vacation travel binders are a great way to plan, organize and keep everything for your upcoming Disney vacation together in one place. The Budget Diva is going to help you do it yourself and create your own vacation travel binder.
Materials needed:
-
1″ or 2″ Binder (I recommend buying one with a clear sleeve on the front)
-
Page Protectors (1 package should be plenty)
-
Dividers (I recommend the heavy duty ones w/the built in pockets)
-
Disney themed stickers to dress up your binder
-
Disney park maps
-
Printer
Most of the supplies listed above can be easily found at a big box store such as Target or Walmart. The Disney themed stickers can be found at a craft store such as Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, etc. The Disney park maps can be customized online for free!
You should start by creating dividers for each day that you will be on your vacation. If you are going on a 7 day Disney vacation, then you will need 7 dividers. Label each divider by day-example: Monday, Tuesday, etc. Next print out any ADR’s–advanced dining reservations. Then create your daily itinerary. I recommend leaving extra time for waiting in lines, potty breaks, shopping, transportation to and from the parks, etc. Place your ADR’s and daily itinerary in the page protectors and place in binder. Be sure to place your Disney park maps inside your binder along with any important information, plane tickets, hotel reservation information, directions/map if you’re driving, etc.
You can let your children help you by decorating the binder cover with Disney themed stickers.
Happy Planning!
I thought I was the only one who laminated my park plans. LOL
I did this and it’s a wonderful idea to keep everything in one spot. Got a few ideas from wdwprepschool and added a few of my own. I probably went a little overboard but once I started I just couldn’t stop. Less than 3 weeks to go til vacation and I’m still adding stuff!
