This month brings exciting news!! On June 22 Disney World Resorts started accepting guests again!
Guests with a current, confirmed reservation will be welcome to visit. However, they will be moved to a Disney Vacation Club property at Disney’s discretion. If guests choose to accept the change, they will not be charged any additional fees. Guests that request a specific resort or choose to modify dates of travel will be responsible for the difference between their current reservation and the new resort charge.
At this time, guests can expect the following resorts to be available…
- Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village
- Disney’s Beach Club Villas
- Disney’s Boardwalk Villas
- Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground
- Disney’s Old Key West Resort
- Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
- Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
- The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
What are the current requirements for a stay at one of these Disney Resorts?
- Guests must already have a confirmed room reservation. Disney World is not accepting new reservations at this time.
- Only DVC members can make new reservations.
- Guests must be symptom-free and willing to participate in onsite health screenings.
- Masks must be worn by all guests age 2 and older unless swimming or seated for a meal.
- Guests are encouraged to complete online check-in prior to arrival to limit personal contact.
- Cashless payments will be required.
How will Resort Services be impacted when the resorts first open?
- Guests can expect enhanced room cleaning prior to check-in and light cleaning every other day of their stay.
- Bellhop services will be available for luggage delivery. Cast members will not escort guests to their rooms.
- Club level services, in-room celebrations, dry cleaning, and laundry services will temporarily be unavailable.
- Resort airline check-in services may be temporarily impacted.
Will dining be available during the first weeks of reopening?
- YES! At first, only resort dining and select Disney Springs dining will be available.
- Guests with confirmed resort reservations from June 22-July 10 can phone 407-824-1391 to make dining reservations at available Table Service locations.
- Specific restaurant availability can be found under the individual resorts listed below
- Online dining reservations are available for select Disney Springs restaurants only.
Will retail shopping locations be open and how will they be impacted?
- Yes!! Each resort will have at least one retail location open.
- Disney Springs has many locations open and ready for business
- Merchandise will initially be limited to existing stock. New products will only be available online via the Disney Store.
- Pin trading with cast members will be available. However, pins will only be traded on pinboards, for a contactless trade.
- Resort and front of the park (when open) delivery is temporarily halted. Guests can ship their packages to their homes as an alternative.
- Dressing rooms will not be available at any retail location.
What amenities will be available?
- The main pools will be operational, under limited hours.
- Leisure pools, where available, will operate on 24-hour schedules. Please see the resort lists below!
- Some poolside activities will be available.
- Fitness centers will be open with reduced hours. All centers will require guests to maintain cleanliness and social distancing recommendations. Instructor-led classes will not be held at this time.
What activities will not be available during the Resort Reopening Phase?
- Arcades, Campfires, and Playgrounds
- Dog Parks
- Character Experiences
- Electrical Water Pageant
- Marina Rentals
- Spas, Salons, and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Experiences
- Fireworks voyages, Dining Cruises, and Wonderland Tea Party
- Fun Runs, Hula Lessons, Mermaid School, and select special classes and programs
- In-room Childcare
