Recently, my son had to stay home from school because he was sick. It was the kind of sick where he was basically going to be laying down most of the day and while sleep is good for sickies, a kid needs something to pass the time. So, we pulled out our Toy Story Movie collection and boom! Instant sick day fun!
The Toy Story collection is just one example of a Disney sick day marathon. Here are some more ideas:
The Princess Movie Marathon- Watch Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White
The Cars Movie Marathon- Watch Cars and Cars II or in the case of my family, Mater’s Tall Tales
The Awesome Disney 90’s Marathon- Watch Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin
The Tinker Bell Movie Marathon- Watch Tinker Bell, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, and Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue
The Muppet Movie Marathon (a D’land Diva Family Fave)- Watch the new Muppet Movie, Muppets from Space and the original Muppet Movie
The Disney Dog Movie Marathon- Watch One Hundred and One Dalmatians, Lady and the Tramp and the Fox and the Hound
The Jungle Movie Marathon- Watch Tarzan and the Jungle Book
The Peter Pan Movie Marathon- Watch Peter Pan and Return to Neverland
A Trip to the Future Movie Marathon- Meet the Robinson’s and WallE
The Santa Clause Movie Marathon- Watch the Santa Clause I, II and III
The Plan Your Next Trip Movie Marathon- Watch Walt Disney World and Disneyland planning videos (my son LOVES these). They can be ordered here on Disney website.
The ideas are endless!
In the case of the D’land Diva family, we have quite the Disney movie collection. If you do not have any of these movies, however, check your local library. Many libraries have free movie rentals!
So the next time your little one is sick ( or you are!), pop in some Disney fun and watch that frown turn upside down!
