I’ve often told my husband that the largest draw of Disney World, for me, is the music. There is music everywhere!
Guests so often begin their entry into the parks at a casual stroll and find themselves skipping along to the beat before hitting the main hub of the parks. The music is familiar and really makes you want to get up and dance along. And of course it’s Disney so no one frowns on the behavior!
But if you’re not the person to stand out from the crowd or start a dance party on your own there are several places you can still get your groove on. The #INCREDIBLES Super Dance Party at Magic Kingdom and the DJ Kids Dance Party at Waterside Stage in Disney Springs are two of the current dance parties available.
The #INCREDIBLES Super Dance Party in Magic Kingdom is a favorite with our family. Located in Tomorrowland near the Rockettower Plaza you will find an open air character dance experience that is sure to keep you moving and smiling! The music, provided by DJ Mr. Spin nightly from 5:00-10:00pm, is an excellent mix of current and classic tunes. And you can’t miss the Incredibly large characters-Mr. and Mrs. Incredible and Frozone can be found out in the crowd joining in the fun. Jump into the crowd and join the Incredibles for an energizing “Cupid Shuffle” or learn to do “The Whip”. Or, teach the characters your own moves and watch them join along!
Stop in for a minute or stay for hours! Take a break from lines, stop worrying about kids hanging on railings and just jump, spin and let loose! Such a great way to work off that ice cream or drain that extra energy before heading back to your resort.
Now if you’ve taken a night off from the parks and are visiting Disney Springs be sure to plan a stop at the DJ Kids Dance Party at Waterside Stage. This open air venue is located in the Marketplace area across from the World of Disney Store and runs daily from 7:30-10:30 pm. Very similar to the Magic Kingdom version, this dance party invites kids and family members to get up and move! There are benches available where parents can sit and safely watch the activities or feel free to join in the fun! One warning, it is very easy to make friends here! Our 10 year old had a great time teaching a group of Brazilian teenage girls how to dance “American Style”!
Of course schedules and events are always changing. And there are always smaller dance events available around the Disney Parks.
Soon, new nightly events will also be available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. Harambe Wildlife Parti and Discovery Island Carnivale will debut Memorial Day, bringing the wild dance to the AK.
So continue to schedule your Advance Dining Reservations and book your Fast Passes. But remember to schedule in some down time as well. Remember to just let them dance!
