I am a big time planner! It comes as no surprise that I have had our Disney vacation already planned out weeks in advance. I even created index ‘itinerary’ cards and laminated them to keep them safe from rain and water rides. There is one card per day of vacation. I also attached a small map of each park onto the back of the index card. This allows for easy access to the daily itinerary. I also created a vacation binder filled with our dining reservations printed out, maps, notes, lists, etc. I LOVE to make lists! To give you an idea, my lists include the packing list, the actual road trip snack list, the grocery list and finally, the list of things we ‘must see’ while on vacation such as snacks, shops, etc.

Im just curious looking at you schedule you have three days at Magic Kingdom and no days at Epcot or Animal Kingdom, do you guys not like those parks? Also I see you are driving to Orlando, how long does it take you to get there? We are driving down this year also.
We opted to skip Epcot because my kids are little and Epcot does not have many rides and I did not want to spend the money. Animal Kingdom is great I have heard, however, I have heard it is geared more towards school age kids and my kids are under 5. Thanks! The drive was 12 hours. Good luck with your drive!–Budget Diva
I also bring a binder to Florida filled with much of what you have. A few other things I bring are a list (that I tape to the wall) of things to bring with me everyday into the parks so I don’t forget anything. I also have a printed list of what everyone is to wear at a specific park. I tape that on the wall as well. I’m list happy too. I also laminate my cards.
Animal Kingdom is for all ages, it’s our favorite park! We’ve been taking our daughter (now 7) every year since she was 2, last year our gang was 1, 2 and 6! It has the most shade, awesome street performers (our favorite is the walking ivy) a fun parade and the best food of all the parks. There are so many more healthy options at Animal Kingdom! ~we always hit up the fruit stand in Asia, just around the corner from the safari. If you haven’t gone yet, please make a plan to go! I promise, you’ll be glad you did!! And there are a lot of things to do that you don’t have to wait in line for (definitely kid friendly! Haha).
