While Soarin’ and Test Track may be two of the most popular must-do attractions at Epcot, our family has another that we enjoy just as much. It is Disney Phineas and Ferb: Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure! This fun, family friendly adventure is great for guests of all ages and has provided our family with some of our greatest Epcot memories. Here is what to expect when you participate in Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure.
Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure is an interactive game that gives you clues to solve and stop the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz from various evil plots he has spread throughout the World Showcase area in Epcot. To begin your super secret mission, you must first visit a recruitment center located at the International Gateway or in the Italy Pavilion.
At the recruitment centers you will receive your assignment as well as an interactive handheld device, called a F.O.N.E. (Field Operation Notification Equipment). This device will connect you to various characters from Phineas and Ferb who give you clues and assignments to stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz from carrying out one of his many evil plots. Up to four people may share an interactive device, allowing participation for a small group or family. Most recently, the option of using your personal smartphone became available. Each mission lasts from 30-45 minutes. Each mission takes place in one of the countries around the World Showcase. You can choose which country you prefer from Mexico, China, Germany, Japan, France and the United Kingdom. Since each pavilion features a different mission, you can choose to do one or several missions.
On our latest trip, we chose France, which has become one of our favorite countries so far for the Agent P missions. Clue after clue led us to complete the mission. With lots of interactive displays and special effects, Agent P’s Adventure is just fun! The mission took us throughout the entire France Pavillion and allowed us to explore and interact in nearly every location within the country. It is a fun way to get our children to go into the shops and attractions throughout the World Showcase. There was even one point where Perry ziplined across the skyline above us!
In this particular mission, we went into several shops and at one point interacted with some cast members who gave my son a special mission to create a pressed penny. He loves getting pressed pennies at Walt Disney World, so he was especially excited for this task! And we didn’t even have to provide the penny or change to press it!
As each clue is presented, each task completed and interactions abound, you get closer and closer to stopping the evil plots of Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Once you have successfully completed your mission you may choose another country to explore with a new mission or you can return your F.O.N.E to a super secret location as directed!
If you have never participated in Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure, consider giving it a try on your next trip. It is lots of fun, and we often talk about our adventures. This is also a creative way to really get into the countries and see what all they have to offer, which is a lot!
