I know things have to continue to change at Disney World, and change is good because it helps bring in more and more people to the parks every year but sometimes we are just not happy with some of the changes. Yes, they may be for the best but when you have something you really enjoy and look forward to seeing or riding on each and every trip to Disney World it can be disappointing when Disney decides to take it away. Since my first trip to Disney World wasn’t until 2009, I know there were a lot of wonderful things before that time I did not get to see or experience. But since I have been going at least once a year since then, there are some things even in those short years that no longer exist in the parks and I do miss them. Here is a list of my top 5 most missed attractions from Disney World.

1. Snow White’s Scary Adventure

I know the Magic Kingdom had to make room for Fairy Tale Hall and the new Seven Dwarf Mine Cart Ride (both are amazing new additions to Fantasyland) but I miss Snow White’s Scary Adventure. Poor Snow White doesn’t seem to get as much recognition as the other princesses (she even got kicked out of Fairy Tale Hall when Anna and Elsa moved in), so it was nice having a ride dedicated just to Snow and her story. Of course being a HUGE Dopey fan I loved this ride even more since Dopey was actually in it!

2. The Backlot Tour

Even thought the Backlot Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios wasn’t my favorite attraction, I did enjoy being able to see all of the memorabilia as you walked and rode through the attraction. I loved seeing the props  from Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars and various other movies. Also, the ride through the movie scene with the truck explosion was really cool!

3. Toon Town

One of my favorite attractions at the Magic Kingdom was Toon Town. I was very disappointed when we returned in 2011 with my kids and Toon Town was closed. It was great being able to walk through Mickey and Minnie’s house and see their garden with giant pumpkins and Pluto’s dog house and then go on to meet Mickey and Minnie. If I was to pick one attraction for Disney to bring back this would be it.

My absolute favorite thing to do at Disney World is watch the parades, so my next 2 things I miss more than anything else are parades. Yes, they are both parades, but they are from 2 different parks and are both very different types of parades and I REALLY hope someday one or both of them return. I am thankful the Magic Kingdom still has parades to watch!

4. Mickey’s Jungle Jammin’ Parade

This parade was at the Animal Kingdom and featured many characters you don’t normally see such as Br’er Rabbit, Br’er Bear, Rafiki and many others.  Mickey and his pals would  dress in their safari clothes for this parade and it really was a lot of fun to watch.

5. The Pixar Parade

The Pixar Parade was absolutely the best parade (aside from the 3:00 parade at the Magic Kingdom). I truly enjoyed watching this parade. I would get a snack for my youngest son and we would go find a great spot long before the parade started so we would have the perfect view. The music and characters were wonderful in the Pixar Parade.

I have an honorable mention of something I miss from Hollywood Studios. I know some people are happy to see it gone but I personally liked it!

I know things will constantly change and grow at Disney World and I am sure more attractions I enjoy will eventually disappear and amazing new ones will take their place. That’s why I take thousands of pictures on Disney vacations–even if the attractions leave I will always have the pictures and the memories of them. Feel free to share what you miss most from Disney World or Disneyland!
