14 Day Disney World Itinerary – Part One
by London Diva
This Disney World Itinerary is designed to show you what can be fit into 14 days at Disney World.
This plan includes options for days outside of the Disney World resort (with recommendations and prices for tour companies, current as of Nov 2016) but also gives flexibility for those wanting to stay on site throughout their trip.
We used this itinerary as 2 adults, but it can be easily adapted for those with children or for those staying for a shorter period. Any unwanted experiences can be taken out.
There are a lot of early starts in this plan and yes, we did them all!
Whilst there are some later starts, it always pays off to be at a park as soon as it opens. Most parks will open 5-20mins before official opening times (both Epcot and Universal Studios allowed us in a full 20 mins before!) You can usually achieve more in the first hour of opening than you can in three hours later on in the day.
Your Fastpass options may vary to those we included. However, with this plan we fit in the majority of all main attractions, mostly during the morning.
Day 1 – Arrive and get your bearings
On arrival, it’s always best to gather yourself and get your bearings.
Check in, confirm any last-minute reservations at reception, buy your unlimited cups and grab some food from the food court. If you arrive early, explore the resort grounds and take a dip in the pool.
The next 14 days are going to be tough so unpack, lay out your best Disney T-shirt ready for the morning and get a good night’s sleep!
If you are staying for a shorter period and arriving in the morning, I definitely recommend heading straight into the parks. Aim for an afternoon/evening at Disney Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom or Epcot’s World Showcase where crowds should be lighter.
If you’re travelling with adults and want something to do in the evening; take a bus to Magic Kingdom and then the monorail to the Contemporary Resort. Watch Happily Ever After (Usually around 9-10pm) from the observation deck, and get a feel for what lies ahead of you during your stay without using a days worth of your park tickets!
Disney Diva Tips: The observation deck at the Contemporary Resort is open to everyone but you will want to arrive around 30 minutes before show time for a good spot. Staying during Christmas celebrations? Don’t want to shell out for a ticket to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party? You can see the holiday version of the fireworks from any of the many view points, outside of the parks around Disney World.
Day 2 – Magic Kingdom
Arrive at Magic Kingdom by 8.40am, ready for rope drop at 9am.

Alternative option to MVMCP: Rest of the day at Magic Kingdom/movie under the stars at resort/dinner at hotel food court

Day 4 – Chef Mickey’s and World Showcase

You do not have to arrange a tour with Attraction Tickets direct in order to have breakfast here. However, this was a last-minute decision and there were no reservations available.
