As many times as I have visited Disney World, there are still lots of interesting things that I have never gotten the opportunity to try. I know it’d be nearly impossible to experience every thing that Disney World has to offer, but I decided to start a Disney Bucket List with a few of my most desired experiences so I’d have a goal to work towards. Here they are in no particular order.
Staying in Cinderella Castle Suite
Of all the goals on my Disney Bucket List, this is the least likely to happen. However, that doesn’t stop me from dreaming. Every time I see pictures someone has taken of the Cinderella Castle Suite, I imagine how grand it would be to spend the night there. Whenever I see a contest where the prize is a stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite, I am sure to enter and usually encourage my family to enter as well. Perhaps some day, one of us will be lucky enough to win one of those contests and my dream will come true- but until then, I’ll focus on completing a few of my more realistic goals.
Staying the whole trip at a Deluxe Resort
This goal might be much easier to achieve for some people. Some day, I would love to stay at a Deluxe Resort for our entire trip. I actually accomplished this on our first trip when I was a child, but I’d like to do it as an adult so I can remember it fully. When I was a child, my parents would book a couple of nights at a Deluxe Resort so we could experience it without completely breaking the bank, which allowed us to stay in some amazing resorts, but I’d love to spend the whole trip at one. For some reason, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has always been my favorite Deluxe Resort (maybe because that’s the first Disney Resort I ever stayed at), so one day I fully intend to spend my vacation there. Fairy Diva shares my love of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and you can check out her review here.
Wild Trek Africa
Disney Bride Diva’s thrilling review of Wild Trek Africa is the reason I have now added it to my Disney Bucket List. The animal lover in me would love to get an up-close look at some of the animals on Kilimanjaro Safari, and to learn things about them from the Cast Members that I might not know otherwise. The thrill seeker in me loves the idea of going behind the scenes and feeling the exhilaration of crossing what seems like a rickety bridge to get a closer look, without actually being in danger of course. My girls aren’t old enough for this adventure just yet, so it may have to wait until they are older or until my husband and I take a child-free trip, but this is definitely something I plan to check out in the future.
Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage
As my Diva name suggests and I have often stated, I love all things Pirate. I also happen to be a huge fan of fireworks, particularly the elaborate displays Disney puts on. Therefore, it would only stand to reason that something combining 2 of my favorite things would be on my Disney Bucket List. This is probably the item that will get crossed off my list first, as I think my kids and husband would enjoy it as much as I would (especially my oldest, who likes fireworks but doesn’t like to be too close due to the noise). It’s a view of Magic Kingdom’s fireworks that I’ve never had before, and something I really look forward to.
Visiting Disneyland
I have been to Walt Disney World on several occasions but never been fortunate enough to visit any other Disney park. It’s unlikely that I’ll ever have the chance to visit a Disney park not on US soil, but I do hope to visit Disneyland one day. I would love to walk through the park that Walt Disney loved and spent so much time in and be able to ride and compare rides whose WDW version I am so familiar with. There are new experiences like World of Color and Sleeping Beauty Castle that I look forward to seeing too. It might not be in the near future, but one day I hope to be able to check visiting Disneyland off my Disney Bucket List. You can read about Disney Magic Diva’s first trip to Disneyland here.
So there you have it: my Disney Bucket List! I realize that I may never cross everything off the list, and that goals are subject to change as time goes along, but it’s definitely a start. What are some of your Disney Bucket List goals?
