So my family has been traveling to Disney World every year, sometimes twice, for the last seven years. My husband and I always said we wanted to try Cinderella’s Royal Table, but then he saw some of the prices and said No Way! My girls are under six so that is also another reason why we said we could not justify spending a lot on a meal when they will not really eat. Needless to say, we always skipped it, but this past November we decided to bite the bullet! We did it and chose to go for breakfast.
After checking the menu first, we figured breakfast was slightly cheaper and the children meal options fit my daughter much better. My youngest was two and my oldest was six. We only had to pay for her and the youngest could pick off of our meals. This restaurant must be paid in advance at the time of booking your date. If you have the dining plan, it will cost you two meal credits PER person.
Now, once you check in at the castle, you wait for your family name to be called. You are escorted inside to meet Cinderella. She greets your family and poses for pictures with you. Once your greeting is over, you are led upstairs into the dining room. The dining room is pure royalty! The atmosphere is beautiful. There are many large windows which allow you to have great views of Fantasyland.
Once seated, your drink order is taken for everyone at your table. Once settled, the waitress brought a plate of assorted pastries for your entire table. You are then able to choose an entrée of your choice. It is a small menu, but everything sounds amazing! I chose the baked quiche and my husband chose the steak and eggs. My six-year-old daughter chose the Traditional Children’s Breakfast. This was a perfect sampler for her! The kids breakfast sampler consisted of Mickey Waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. The waitress brought over a separate small plate of mickey waffles for my two-year-old which was nice! Beverages including juices, coffee and tea are all included in the price.
While you are eating, all the popular princess make their way around to every table to meet you. At this time you can take picture and ask for autographs. They were all very nice and took time with my oldest daughter. The princess that met us were Ariel, Aurora, Jasmine, and Snow White. Each princess greets everyone at every table, so do not worry, you will not get skipped! I am glad we had a great experience with the characters because we do enjoy doing a few character related meals. Diva Tip: My main reason for booking some character meals is so that we do not have to worry about meeting characters in the parks. While the princess are walking around, your server gives the girls a star wand and boys a sword. It was also close to my daughter’s birthday, so once we mentioned that to the server my daughter received a Disney cupcake which made her day!
For my family of four, we only had to pay for the three of us due to my youngest being under the age of three. For the three of us our total was $170.49. Honestly, I am very glad we chose to do this! Yes you are not getting a ton of food, it is not a character buffet where you may get more for your money. However, I think the atmosphere and princess greeting were totally worth it all. I have no complaints on the food or the princess interaction. Everyone around us seemed happy and I did not see any issues or complaints. I would do this again when both girls are older yet still into the princesses. It is not something I would do every year when we go just because of the money on top of all of the other restaurants we enjoy doing that cost a good chunk of change too! Our own Main Street Diva also had a great review on dining here which is great to read.
