I recently returned home from our latest adventure to Walt Disney World. And while I am longingly planning our next visit to see Mickey and friends, I wanted to share my thoughts on some great products offered by Mabel’s Labels that came in super handy on our last vacation. While definitely not Disney specific, the super functional and cute offerings from Mabel’s Labels will be useful for all of our family vacations regardless of the destination- as well as for use at home! Here is a rundown on how we incorporated some of the products into our vacation, and details on how you can win your very own Travel Combo from Mabel’s Labels!
First, let me introduce you to Mabel’s Labels. This company (a joy to work with in my experience) offers a variety of durable labels for families as well as a growing line of additional products such as baby labels, child safety products, sports labels, and household organizational labels. This means no more labeling my children’s items with tape and Sharpies!! The durable labels are laundry, dishwasher and microwave safe. Too good to be true? I put a few to the test, or rather my rambunctious little ones did, while on our Disney vacation.
Each item you select from Mabel’s Labels is completely customizable. You can choose the label text, style, font and add-ons on all items. This makes your labels unique based on your personal preferences. The Travel Combo was one of the first items I used. This combo set comes with 4 large luggage labels, 15 personalized name stickers, and an optional add-on of 2 personalized bag tags. Let me just tell you honestly, these are fabulous! The labels are designed for suitcases, and are also ideal for toiletries, electronics, water bottles or any other items you may be traveling with.
While packing for our trip, I took advantage of the labels from the Travel Combo pack. I used the large luggage labels for our suitcases, which are a basic navy American Tourister set. I could see where these labels would be especially useful when dealing with airports. There would be no misplacing or mistaking your luggage from someone else’s. The smaller personalized name stickers are ideal for toiletries and smaller items. As an add-on, I got the bag tags. These are super durable, sturdy metal luggage tags that we attached to our luggage along with the labels. I could also see attaching these to backpacks, toys or other items during travel. These are waterproof as well and the chain to fasten them is very secure.
We always drive to Walt Disney World, which takes us a little over eight hours. I keep a seat hanger in our car full of coloring books, crayons, pouches with markers and pencils, activity books, reading books and games to help pass the time as we drive. These items sometimes get mixed up, much to the dismay of my daughter who insists on using her own, so the labels were an immediate relief for me. I may or may not have gotten carried away and used the labels on nearly every item! My children loved the labels as well. I let them pick out the font and styles they preferred, and they loved choosing the image for their personal labels. A cat for my daughter and a pirate ship for my son. And since the labels are waterproof, I did not have to worry if a juice box accidentally spilled on the crayon pouch!
Once at our Disney resort, we had reusable cups and bottled water. The labels were perfect for keeping our drinks separated. There was no question as to which drink and cup belonged to which child. We could wash the cups and reuse as needed. The labels are very durable and looked just as perfect at the end of our vacation as they did at the beginning!
The last item I tried out to review for our trip were the personalized wristbands. These were designed for my children while in the theme parks. I am always paranoid about large crowds and in the unlikely event of getting separated from my little ones, these bracelets would be a tremendous help. The wristbands can be personalized with any information of your choosing. I had my child’s name and my cell phone number printed for identification. The wristbands are water resistant and durable. If the wrist isn’t a preferable spot for the bands (it wasn’t for us on this trip since my little ones were already wearing MagicBands for the parks), then you can loop them around the ankle or through belt loops, as I preferred. Their shirts covered up the band, but both kids knew it was there should they need it. These wristbands could be especially useful in so many different environments, but especially at busy theme parks.
