Character interactions are some of the highlights of a Disney trip. You get to spend a few minutes with your favorite character and take a special photo to commemorate the experience. Seeing your child interact with their current favorite character warms a parent’s heart.
You have your item to autograph ready (book, pillowcase, canvas) and the character signs it. These make adorable souvenirs you are able to bring home. But have you ever thought to make a video message with a character?
Almost all the face characters (Princesses, Peter Pan, Gaston, and Tinker Bell for example) will do a short video for you. The talking Mickey at Magic Kingdom does a generic “Happy Birthday” message that is fun to have.
Do you know someone who is having a birthday while you are at Disney? Or celebrating an anniversary? Or are you just looking for a special way to announce your next Disney vacation? Have their favorite character send them a special message! Plan ahead and get messages for friends and family!
I’ve done birthday messages from Rapunzel, Snow White, Ariel, Anna and Elsa. They will either use the child’s name and age to make it personal or you can have them do one for “Princess” or “Prince” and be able to use it for more than one person.
One of my favorite videos was for a couple getting married. They loved Beauty and the Beast so I was able to get messages from Belle and Gaston. Belle was sweet and sent a lovely message. She is only able to do videos at Epcot in her blue dress. Gaston was a little more difficult since he was upset that it wasn’t his and Belle’s wedding day-the most important day ever. He did end up wishing the happy couple well, in his own Gaston way, and it ended up being perfect.
Another friend of mine was having surgery and requested prayers and pixie dust. I happened to see Tinker Bell and was able to send some pixie dust.
If you are tricky, you may be able to get a video without your kids knowing. Have a character tell them how much fun it was to meet them or wish them a happy birthday. If you are travelling without your kids sending them a video from a character may make up for not bringing them along!
I have been able to get messages from the characters at their meet-and-greets. They have always taken the time to say a few quick words. Some have a message around a minute or so. Anna likes to talk about chocolate. Rapunzel wants you to have the best day ever. Tinker Bell is bubbly and sends you lots of pixie dust. Snow White made me a very short happy birthday princess video that was only about 15 seconds long. Having a recipient in mind will definitely get you a more personal, longer video in my experience.

Conditions and Disclaimer: While we will do our best to get a personalized message from you, we are at the limitations of which characters are out and about, which can vary from day to day. Please allow two weeks after being chosen to receive your character meet and greet message.
Because we do our best to try and ensure that you will have a wide variety of characters to choose from, we have chosen characters who are most likely to be out and about on any given day. When choosing which character you would like to receive a message from, please choose from the following: Aladdin, Alice, Anna, Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Elena of Avalor, Elsa, Gaston, Jasmine, Mary Poppins, Merida, Mulan, Rapunzel, Snow White, Tiana, and Tinker Bell.
Also, while we can provide the characters with personalized information of your choice (name, age, activity, etc.) We have no idea of what the character will actually say or how long the message will actually be. The more information you supply, the more likely it is to be customized to your family, but ultimately, we can only record what the character says.
