Anyone that has participated in runDisney events prior to April of 2016 has dealt with the frustration of having to purchase photos from two different vendors. Standard vacation photos were accessed through Disney’s PhotoPass site while runDisney photos had to be purchased through Marathon Photo, a private vendor.
Disneys PhotoPass and runDisney make a great team!
While all of the photos are of excellent quality, purchasing both sets can be quite costly on top of an already pricey vacation. But this year runDisney has teamed up with Disney PhotoPass to combine all of your photos! As of April 2016 guests and runners no longer have to flip through two separate sites to view or purchase their photos-all photos can be purchased via Disney’s PhotoPass and are included in Disney World’s Memory Maker or one of Disneyland’s PhotoPass packages!

Here is a breakdown of packages available from Disney’s PhotoPass-
- Single PhotoPass download- purchase of individual photo download. $14.95 per photo
- Disney World’s Memory Maker–digital access to all PhotoPass photos, ride photos/videos, runDisney photos and magical extras. $149.00 prepaid rate, purchase anytime up to three days prior to first photos being taken; $169.00 immediate use rate, purchase 2 days before and up to 45 days after photos are taken (photo cancellation can be extended to 60 days for a fee of $19.95)
- Disneyland’s PhotoPass+ one day– digital access to all Disneyland photos, ride photos/videos, runDisney photos and Magical Extras from one day of your choosing. $39.99 allows access from day photo was taken up to 45 days after (or 60 days with $19.95 extension).
- Disneyland’s PhotoPass+ one week– digital access to all Disneyland photos, ride photos/videos, runDisney photos and Magical Extras from one week of your choosing. $78.00 allows access to a full weeks worth of photos from day photo was taken up to 45 days after (or 60 days with $19.95 extension).

All photo packages are fairly simple to use on their own…Purchase as part of your Disney Vacation Package, direct from Disney.com (you do not need to stay at a Disney owned resort to use PhotoPass services), or purchase at the Disney Resort/Park. Prior to travel download Disney World’s “My Disney Experience” or Disneyland’s mobile app. Photos taken in the parks will be linked to your account via your Magic Band and will begin to appear on your app. (Select attractions and guests without Magic Bands will be given a PhotoPass card to link the photos themselves.) Select a photo and click “Activate” to begin use of your photo package. Remember, Disneyland’s PhotoPass+ one day only includes one day of photos. Be sure you only activate a photo from the day you would like to purchase.
*Guests can also view their photos online without the apps.
Now your runDisney photos work a bit differently. PhotoPass photographers will be located all over the race course, at Character Spots and of course at the finish line to capture your magical runDisney photos. But these photos need to be linked to your Disney account.
-Visit your mobile app or www.mydisneyphotopass.com.
-Select the location of your race-Walt Disney World or Disneyland.
-Click “link photos”.
-Enter the 11 digit race id from your race (located in the results section of runDisney.com) followed by your bib number. You should be entering 16 digits. If you are not, add “0”s before your race id to obtain 16 numbers.
-Your photos should now be linked and available for download!

Pre-purchase the photo package that best suits your budget and your needs, run your race and enjoy re-living every moment through your amazing, magical photos!
**While the photo package pricing may seem high, consider that a single photo download from Photopass is $14.95. Purchase ten photo downloads and you have already passed the pre-paid Memory Maker purchase! During our last vacation we received close to 165 family photos/videos and over 70 Magical Extras such as professional character and location photos. This did not include any runDisney photos. We have never regretted our purchase of a Disney Photo Package.
