You are walking through the main entrance to the Magic Kingdom; despite the heavenly smells hovering outside the confectionery, or the sound of Dream Along With Mickey on the main castle stage, you only have one thing on your mind: faith, trust and pixie dust. If this is your mantra, then you absolutely have to see Tink on your trip to Disney World, right?
Luckily for you, this is a fairly easy thing to do. Tinker Bell is an absolute delight to see: she’s playful, sassy, and every time I see her I feel a sense of magic only fairies can bring.
Since we have already established you are standing inside the Magic Kingdom, you have several options for getting to see Tinker Bell.
The first and most flitterific choice, is meeting her, duh. Tink can be found inside the Town Square Theater on Main Street, which, if you’re looking at the castle, is to your right. You’ll walk up to the theater and see two signs, one for Magician Mickey, and one for Tink! Once you enter the theater, you will approach the queue area. The left side is the side that takes you to Pixie Hollow.
In my personal opinion, it is best to go either at the beginning or the end of the day. Her line never seems to reach more than an hour, but you can usually walk in to see her with a minimal wait an hour after the park opens, and an hour before it closes. This meet also has a Fastpass+, and while we always recommend booking your Fastpasses six months out, this one is easy to grab at the last minute if you need to.
From there, you will wait for a cast member to drop the rope. Then, you will enter a magical garden. The walls are covered in grass that sparkles. It has a pretty cool feel to it.
Once inside the main room of the garden, a cast member will wait for more guests to enter. He might ask you to fly, before finally prompting, “Now all we need is a little faith, trust, and—” to which you will respond, “Pixie Dust!” After this the walls will start to glow and you will shrink down to the size of a fairy and enter through a door to meet Tink.
Sh is extremely playful, and has tons of fun objects lying around. My favorite of which are some crayons she has—to a fairy they’re huge! Disney Diva Tip: If you ask, she loves to play Tug of War with her guests! Tinkerbell also signs autographs. I always pick out a nice green sharpie for her to sign with.
The second option is not a meet and greet, but rather two of Magic Kingdom’s parades! Tinkerbell makes an appearance in both the Festival of Fantasy and the Main Street Electrical Parade. In Festival of Fantasy, she sits on a bed of flowers and is in her traditional green dress. It’s an excellent parade and one fans of Tink should not miss! In the Electrical Parade, she is a little bit harder to see, but is covered in pixie dust and is super sparkly! Both parades are great ways to see the world’s greatest tinker.
The last and perhaps most infamous way to get a glimpse of Tinkerbell, is during the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular when she flies down from the castle. She is sparkling here too, and watching her fly is one of the most inspiring things about Wishes. Disney Diva Tip: The best places to see this feat are on the new hub grass, Main Street, or, if you can get a reservation, watching her fly down while eating at The Plaza Restaurant is also amazing.
All in all, Tinkerbell is one of the bubbliest, if not sassiest, characters to be found in the entirety of Disney World. She has the ability to fix not just broken fairy objects, but also the worst of days.
Happy flying!
