Ciao a tutti! That’s hello everyone in Italian and welcome to Tony’s Town Square Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom. This Italian eatery is a wonderful table service dining experience. All around you can see memorabilia for the Lady and the Tramp movie. This restaurant has it all wonderful food, great staff, and awesome décor. Come and step foot into Tony’s and be prepared to be blown away.
I would give this restaurant a 4 out of 5 star rating. The food was wonderful and you get a lot of it. The only downside to this restaurant is that it is a decently small restaurant and can become very loud. But I think that the food and service makes up for that. I ordered the spaghetti and my mom ordered a small pizza. Both were very delicious and worth the price. Diva Tip: Make reservations! Even with reservations my mom and I had to wait about 15 minutes for a seat. I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. It was a fun restaurant yet still felt like fine dining.
The service here was fantastic. I am a stickler about my drink glass being empty but our waitress made sure we had plenty of drink during our meal and even after. My mom and I sat in the restaurant for a while to escape the heat from outside and even after we paid the bill our waitress would come refill our drinks. She even gave us drinks to go and we didn’t ask for them. We waited about 20 minutes for our food after we ordered. You just have to remember this is a very busy restaurant so it may take a little while for your food to come out. The spaghetti that I had was to die for. It was so good and worth the price. This photo doesn’t give it justice. That bowl was huge and the spaghetti was over flowing. You definitely get a large portion of spaghetti which is so worth the price.
The restaurant itself was fantastic. I loved being taken back into the movie of the Lady and the Tramp. From the photos on the walls to the huge fountain in the middle of the restaurant, everything brought back memories of the movie. Even before you go into the dining hall, the decor is amazing. They even play the movie while you wait in the lobby. The only problem I had was the seating that we had. We had a half booth half table and there wasn’t that much leg room. I have a knee injury so I was hoping to be able to stretch my leg out. But that is the only complaint I have about the entire restaurant.
There was a scare while in the restaurant though. There was a family who was letting their kids run around the entire restaurant and one of the kids accidentally tripped one of the servers and made them drop the food that was on their tray. Needless to say the family received a talking to from the manager. Just watch your kids- in this restaurant especially! Because this is a smaller restaurant, there are constantly servers coming in and out, we just don’t want anyone getting hurt. Oh and yes the kids that tripped the waiter were fine, just scared a little.
Great food, great service, and great atmosphere, what more could you ask for. Be sure the next time you visit the Magic Kingdom to make reservations here and receive the experience of almost being in the movie Lady and the Tramp. Be sure to take plenty of photos in front of the beautiful fountain in the restaurant and as always remember to have fun and Disney on!
Tony’s is so good and often overlooked by many guests.
