Are you ready for extreme stunts, mind bending illusions, and awesome explosions? Then the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt show is for you. This show gives the audience an inside look of how dangerous stunts are performed while keeping the actors safe. On your journey into the world of action the “director” tells you what will happen and when. This show is all about timing and it is the directors job to tell the drivers when to go and stop, but even then you are on the edge of your seat anticipating the next stunt.
From across Hollywood Studios you can hear the screeching of the tires, the roar of cheer from the audience, and the smoke from guns and fire. This show is probably, in my opinion, the best show that Hollywood Studios has to offer. When the stunts have been performed and you receive the inside look of how it is all done, it really makes you realize how important timing is and how talented the drivers really are. It makes you appreciate the time and effort the crew takes to entertain you and make cheer with excitement.
Due to the nature of the show, it has a scare factor of 3 out of 5. This is because of the loud noises and isn’t always recommended for younger children. It really depends on how your child feels about loud noises and fire. However, kids are involved with the show and can also be easily entertained as well. One lucky child from the audience will be picked to drive a car worth over $200,000 with a remote controller. At least that is what everyone thinks. When in reality there is someone driving outside of the car. Not only that, but there is a surprise visit from Lightening McQueen himself. Every time he makes his appearance I always hear the kids shout with excitement.
The only thing that makes me unhappy with this show is that it only runs Friday through Sunday two times a day. So be sure to plan to go and see this show. I have seen this show three times, but each time I am still impressed with the show and it always leaves me wanting more. I don’t want to reveal too much about the show because the element of surprise is wonderful, but this show includes gun fights, cars driving on two wheels, people falling off buildings, and even people catching on fire. But, my favorite part of the entire show is the final scene. The “hero” comes bursting through the second story windows into a fire explosion. This always leaves the audience on their feet cheering for more.
This show is great for the entire family. This show is handicap accessible and people may remain in their wheelchair or scooters. One advantage to the handicap seating is it is probably the best seating in the entire theater! Not too high and not too low. Just remember that this is an outdoor show so there is no air conditioning. There are fans, but that doesn’t always cool it off. The good new is that food and drink are allowed during the show. So grab some drinks and snacks and be prepared to be amazed by the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show at Hollywood Studios.
