The Garden Grill, located in Future World in Epcot, is a great character meal the whole family can enjoy. Upon being seated you are brought fresh, warm rolls with a maple butter spread that is delicious! This meal is an all you can eat family style with adult and children’s platters. After your delicious rolls there is a bowl of salad for each guest, then comes the platters of beef, turkey and stuffing and the sustainable fish of the day. There is also garden fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes. Some of the vegetables you eat may have actually been grown in the Living withe the Land greenhouses. Along with the regular beverage choices of water, soda, milk, or juice there are also beer and wine choices which are not included in the Disney Dining Plan.
The children’s platter contains chicken legs, macaroni and cheese (with goldfish crackers), broccoli, and sweet potato sticks, which were very good dipped in the maple butter for the rolls. There is also a Harvest skillet cake served for dessert, as well as an ice cream cone cupcake for the little ones.
There are two levels to the Garden Grill. The lower level has larger booths which allow for ample seating with bigger groups and the upper level is table and chair style seating. Whether you sit at the top or the bottom you will enjoy an ever-changing view of the Living with the Land ride as the restaurant slowly rotates through it.
What makes it even better is this is also a character meal! Chip and Dale and Farmer Mickey and Pluto (characters subject to change) make an appearance at least once at every table and you are able to get autographs and take pictures with them so don’t forget your cameras.
The Garden Grill is considered a table service meal and does accept the Disney Dining Plan. It is only open from 4 pm-8pm which makes it very hard to get into and advanced dining reservations are almost a must! Remember you can make your reservations 180 days prior to your visit.
