There are many choices when it comes to staterooms aboard the DCL. There’s something for every family and style. Saying that, there is a lot of information to be found! In this article I’m sticking to the basics.

You will find that the Disney Magic & Disney Wonder have the same staterooms categories, and likewise the Disney Dream & Disney Fantasy will have the same stateroom categories.

All staterooms come with the Disney basics: Disney Magic & Disney Wonder: Sealy Posturepedic® Premium Plush Euro-top mattresses, 100% Egyptian cotton linens, remote-control color TV, ample closet space, cooling box, in-room safe, hair dryer, phone with voice-mail messaging, individual climate control, H20 Plus bath and shower products, couch, desk, chair, & a privacy curtain. The Disney Dream & Disney Fantasy staterooms also have an iPod docking station, full-length mirror, & a refrigerator (instead of a cooling box). All staterooms (with a very few exceptions) have a split bathroom which is an industry first and a big plus. The concierge rooms will have even more extras.

Now let’s get down to the nitty-gritty numbers, starting with the smallest.

M&W – Standard Inside Stateroom – sleeps 3 or 4, 184 sq. ft. D&F – 169 sq. ft.

M&W – Deluxe Inside Stateroom – sleeps 3 or 4, 214 sq. ft. D&F – 204 sq. ft.

M&W – Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom – sleeps 3 or 4, 214 sq. ft. D&F – 204 sq. ft.

D&F only – Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom – sleeps 3 to 5, 241 sq. ft.

Obviously the bigger the room, the more expensive it will be, but this should give you a good idea of the amount of space you’re looking at booking.

There are many connecting rooms in all of these categories making it easy for larger families or groups traveling together. They will not put an extra cot in a stateroom but you should be able to fit a crib for an infant or toddler. Don’t expect to move around too much after it is set up though. Handicap Accessible rooms are available for those in need.

On the Magic & Wonder there are six staterooms on Deck 5 that are sold as inside staterooms, but actually are outside cabins with obstructed view portholes. Also, there are four Category 7 staterooms that have a regular verandah instead of the usual Category 7 navigator’s verandah, which is a fully enclosed deck with a large porthole. These, as well as a few other unique rooms go fast, so I recommend booking well in advance. A travel agent would be a terrific resource in snagging the perfect room for you and your family!
