Want to stay at a Disney Resort with the best views of the Magic Kingdom? How about a resort with Monorail access? Better yet, how about the only Disney Resort that offers guests the ability to walk to and from the Magic Kingdom? Then Disney’s Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary is your resort.
Room Choices
The resort offers studio villas, one bedroom villas, two bedroom villas and three bed room grand villas, with either a theme park view, lake view or standard view. Being a DVC resort, rooms offer some of the comforts of home. The one, two, and three bedroom villas offer fully equipped kitchens and washer and dryers. The studio villas offer a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator. There are no washers and dryers in the studio villas, but there is a laundry room on the first floor.
The pool at the Bay Lake Tower is fantastic. Children and adults alike enjoy the Mickey spiral water-slide.
Since Bay Lake Tower is part of The Contemporary Resort, there are many dining options close by. The only dining option at Bay Lake Tower, however, is the small quick service stand at the pool. One huge perk available at Bay Lake Tower only to DVCmembers staying on points is access to the Top of the World Lounge.
A quick stroll across the sky bridge will take you to the fourth floor of The Contemporary. Here you will find the Contempo Café. This is a quick service with classic breakfast, salads, flat breads, and sandwiches.
Looking for character dinning? Right next to the Contempo is Chef Mickey’s. Chef Mickey’s is a breakfast and dinner buffet offering character dinning with the Disney fab five. Reservations are highly recommended.
Not into characters? Then try The Wave or IF fine dining is more of your thing, checkout the California Grill. California Grill is on the top floor of the Contemporary Resort. This restaurant offers some of the best views of Walt Disney World.
