Planning an EPIC Princess Birthday for your Daughter? Does your little girl dream of having a Fairy Godmother turn her into a Princess for a day? Does she crave to be indulged in a salon fit for a Diva? Then the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a MUST.
There are two Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutiques in Walt Disney World…
1) Magic Kingdom, inside Cinderella’s Castle which the Disney Diva has already reviewed HERE.2) Downtown Disney Marketplace inside the WORLD OF DISNEY store.
The WORLD OF DISNEY store is the largest DISNEY STORE on the planet. Although you don’t need a park ticket for Downtown Disney, this mecca of shops, restaurants and entertainment, is almost like a WDW park in itself.
Diva’s Tip: GET THERE EARLY TO KNOW YOUR WAY AROUND AND TO FIND THE Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. The Salon is located at the very back of the Store. Just look for the Girl’s Costumes and accessory section or ask a Cast Member upon entering.
Reserve ahead of time call: (407) WDW-STYLE for an appointment. You can reserve up to 180 days before. The Magic Kingdom Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique usually books up fast, so your best bet is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique – Downtown Disney if you are planning your trip in less time.
BRING YOUR OWN DRESS, to save money. We bought my daughter’s Rapunzel Dress from our local Disney Store up here in Canada. It was A LOT cheaper to buy the dress ahead of time, with comfortable shoes to match.
There are 3 packages to choose from. The Coach Package, The Crown Package and the Castle Package. Like WDW Diva, we felt the best overall package + cost efficency, was the CROWN Package. For more information and prices of the Packages see here.
Other than location, the experience of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Downtown Disney is similar to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Magic Kingdom. See WDW Diva’s run down on what to expect at both locations.
ULTIMATE PRINCESS EXPERIENCE? As per WDW Diva’s suggestion, we went to AKERSHUS at Epcot after our Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointment. My daughter had fun meeting some of the Princesses at Akershus while looking like a Princess herself. On that day, Cinderella chose my girl to lead the Princess Procession with her!

BIRTHDAY? When calling to book an appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique make sure you tell them it’s your daughter’s birthday. Then tell them again when you sign up at the front of the Salon. Mention it once more when you meet her Fairy Godmother in training. They will have a special PRINCESS BIRTHDAY SASH other than the standard Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique sash plus they include a WDW Birthday Button with “Princess” printed on the button!
When making Dining Reservations (Any Character Meal will make great photo-ops with your girl all dolled up), make sure you allot enough time between the end of your Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointment (takes around 45 minutes) to your reservation time. Keep in mind, travel time as well as appointments running late. Canadian Diva’s family waited about 25 minutes past our initial appointment time before we saw our Fairy Godmother in training.
All the Fairy Godmothers in Training are wonderful and attentive. Our Fairy Godmother in Training, Anna, was a GEM. With their magic wand, they sprinkle pixie dust on the mini Princesses, making them sparkle and shine.
Your girl will have a truly MAGICAL time. She will surely have the “Best Day EVER!”, with memories to last a lifetime.
I am planning on taking my daughter here in October, however she turns 10 in August and all the rules I’ve seen say children over 9 cannot be dressed up in the parks? I know she can do the Diva or Pop without the dress but it takes the magic out of the experience. Do you know if she’ll be able to wear a dress around for the day if she gets done up at the boutique. She is still a kid.
Nicole! Absolutely she can wear anything she wants around the park regardless of age!!! There are no rules about clothing in the park that I’m aware of. Where on earth did you see that there are age restrictions on being dressed up? And they can go to BBB all the way to 12 to my knowledge.

it was on this wdw info site, and I know I saw it on others, this link should take you right to the exact page, I believe I saw it on the Mom board also on the Disney site itself.
Children over 12 aren’t allowed to wear costumes to the parks, It’s to prevent adults from dressing up, misbehaving and ruining the magic for a child who thought they were seeing the “real” princess or prince.
Thanks for the great info. My daughter is going to be 3 when we go to WDW. She is very girlie and LOVES princesses. I am trying to decide between teh BBBoutique and the character meal. I am actually leaning towards the BBB, since it is one-on-one interaction, but would love your insight! If we don’t do a character meal we will go visit the Princesses throughout the parks. Thanks
from Canadian Diva:
Hello Kalyn,
Sorry for the late reply. How adorable your daughter is turning 3! What an exciting time she will have at Disney World for her birthday. She will love it.
Going to the BBB will be the most incredible experience for her. If you are not doing a Princess meal, definitely meet the Princesses in the Parks. They will give her all sorts of attention especially if get her to wear her Birthday Button. Make sure to get Fastpass + for the Princesses you most want to see, especially if your little Princess is an Anna and Elsa Fan, waits can be up to 5 hours stand by line, on busy days YIKES. Fastpass+ is a life and time saver.
You don’t have to get the most expensive package if you bring your own dress. We always bring our own Princess Dresses (we get online) and get the middle package which is about $60 – $70 (check the Disney Website for prices). And that might save you money so you can do a Princess Meals. The Princess Meals are fun as well and save time in the parks because you do meet a handful of Princess. And then if you get Fastpass+ for the other Princess Meet and Greets, your daughter will get to meet A LOT of Princesses!
Another tip, the fairy godmothers do the hair so well and so strong!! You can extend her BBB look for another day. One trip we did the BBB, went to the Halloween party at MK at night and then the following day we did the Princess meal at Akershus in Epcot. All i had to do was re-apply my daughter’s make up in the morning (they give you a little makeup package when you do BBB) and fix her up a bit. The Character handler at Akershus thought my daughter went to BBB that morning!
Let us know if you have any other questions. We love talking Disney and Princesses so we area always happy to help.
Happy Birthday to your little Princess!
I saw your replay that you did the BBB and then went to the halloween party. What time did you book the BBB that day? Also did you only have the halloween ticket or did you have a park ticket too? thank you
